Crawling for real now
Jasper has been rolling around and scooting for a while now, but as of Friday July 28 he is officially crawling. He can make a straight line across the room, one knee after the other. It sure is easy on carpet. The wood floor and kitchen linoleum are a bit trickier, but ok with bare legs. Of course, now that he can get around, he immediately is attempting new challenges and thus continued frustration. Rather than the frustration of not going forward, or falling on his face, he is now frustrated about getting up the step from the living room to kitchen. He also tries to pull up on the ottoman (huge green thing in center of living space), to reach and pet Cariboo. Poor Cariboo... now that Jasper can reach her on the floor, she stays up higher most of the day. Of course, Cariboo is the perfect cat for a baby. She puts up with his grabbing and kicking and "petting" maneuvers. He even crawled right up over her one day! She eventually tires of him, and moves on. Tao Tao is very needy lately, even sitting on my lap with Jasper too. I have to be careful not to let Jasper pull his hair, because Tao is an "advanced kitty" and will strike a sure blow, claws and all. Must be very careful/gentle with Tao.
