A Short Update

Almost 4 weeks, almost a month already! We're getting by, but it's been a bit rough a times. Jim came down with a high fever for 3 days, then Jasper. I thought Rose and I were clear, but then it hit me too. So far... Rose is healthy and just fine. Being cooped up, with the rain, with the sicknesses going around, without much help since we don't want to spread around these germs... those are the rough days. Other days are better. When Jasper can play outside, or we take a walk, or go to a playground. A 2 year old needs a lot of running around time, or he gets into cranky pants mode.

The first week Jasper was very nice to Rose. The second week he started climbing on me and pulling my hair when I hold or nurse Rose. The third week his strength was scary, hitting, kicking, and "head bonk" whoever holds Rose. This is all "normal" behavior, we try not to get too worked up and overreactive since that's what he's looking for. We continue to emphasize he must always be gentle, hitting is never tolerated, etc. Well, he's gotten a bit better, but must be very careful to watch for signs of his outbursts. The cuteness is when he wants to hold her and look at her and hold her hand. Today he even helped burp her :)

So the days are exhausting, but we're blessed with some decent sleep at nights so far.
